Lady Gaga | FAME

Lady Gaga - Fame Eau de parfum*

Hey dolls, I recently received this little beauty through the post and ever since opening it I have been itching to tell more about it and/or do a review, and so I shall! Now i'm really not the best with words, especially when it comes to fragrance and I don't know all the technical terms so I shall include what they say about the fragrance and then tell you a bit about what I think personally.

'Lady Gaga Fame is the first ever black Eau de Parfum that sprays clear and becomes invisible once airborne.
The fragrance has a unique structure called the "push-pull technology," where the ingredients interact together to highlight different olfactive aspects of each note at the same time, without any hierarchy.
The scent is built around three main accords: dark, sensual and light. The dark accord was inspired by Belladonna, the deadly nightshade possessed by haunted beauties since the 18th century.
From this darkness, the fragrance evolves to a sensual accord of opulence, a fusion of dripping honey, saffron and apricot nectar. And lastly, the light accord whispers magnificence.
The rich floral layer of crushed Tiger Orchid and Jasmine Sambac embodies timeless beauty. The accords work together to create a fragrance of floral and fruity elements, with the star ingredient inspired by Belladonna leveling out the whole fragrance and giving Lady Gaga Fame its signature as a scent.'

First impressions
When I first sniffed the fragrance, I was a little underwhelmed, The whole world that is Gaga, the bottle, the packaging and black fluid seemed to promise something unique, strong, bizarre and dark but it was surprisingly light, floral and girly. I was disappointed! I also thought it smelt like so many other 'celeb' fragrances I have tried and forgotten..But I sprayed it onto myself for the day to see if the scent might change after a few hours.

The Good
I have been spraying this for a few days now and it had grown on me quite a bit more, I read all about how the notes work etc and It seemed quite interesting and different in that way. The fragrence is floral/fruity but on my skin it does have a dark side to it aswell, I cant put my finger on it but something every so slightly musky hidden beneath the floral notes. The packaging/bottle I absolutley LOVE, this is something I am definatly drawn to and I also love the idea of black fluid spraying clear. I am a lover of everything black! The bottle is very different to any other i have on my dressing table, I like different! The scent also does linger for a decent amount of time, I could still smell it on my skin a few hours after spraying.

The Bad
It has grown on me but at the same time I can tell It wont become my favourite perfume or signature scent or anything. I feel overall it is not unique enough and it smells very similar to another perfume (Rhianna or beyonce's I cant figure it out)I think its lovely as a summer-night scent and its something I will whip out from time to time but Its nothing on my new love - Stella!

The Ugly?
Overall I wouldn't say to rush out and purchase this, its definitely something you should go and sniff for yourself to see if its worth the hype in your eyes. If you are interested though but the black fluid/bottle puts you off - dont let it! Its surprisingly feminine with a pinch of mystery, and if you like that, then go for it!

What are your first impressions?

Products i've used up | July/August

Hey dolls,
I recently came to the end of a few products of mine, I have been collecting them up so I could do a video and blog post on them. I really enjoy reading/watching about other peoples 'empties' so Thought I would do a second one!
I thought I wouldn't go too much into detail on my blog because I have already spoken about all the products in my video which I have included so please check it out for more detail on each product.
I do wonder if anyone else has tried any of these products and what you thought of them too? Its always interesting to see how products work for others!

Skincare Products
Simple face wipes - These are something I go through like the clappers, I use them daily to remove my makeup and then I give my face a second cleanse afterwards. They get my makeup off well and are my favourite drugstore wipes.

Murad Claritying mask - I really enjoyed using this Murad sample and I found it did help alot when I had breakouts, I'd recommend it to anyone with oily skin or spot/acne problems.

Neutrogena 2 in 1 wash & mask - This is another staple of mine, I always have to have one around! Works great on troublesome skin and always helps to clear away my breakouts.

Elizabeth Arden skin balancing moisturiser - This is a new discovery for me and i've fallen in love, It is indeed balancing, absorbs quickly and it is extremely lightweight on the skin, also has a lovely fresh cucumber scent.

Body products
NIP + FAB Pistachio sundae body cream - I thought this could be a dupe for the Laura Mercier pistachio cream but, no no. It is so sickeningly sweet! I guess I should have known by the 'sundae' part! It also feels odd slathering green goo onto yourself after a nice fresh shower.

The Body shop Fuzzy peach shower gel - This is okay, Not too much to say about it, it just does the job!

Original Source Mint + tea tree shower Gel - I love this product, it leaves you literally tingling after you step out of the shower, Great for a morning wake-me-up.

Dead sea skin spa body lotion - This did leave my skin silky smooth, I was surprised! It also has a nice light scent, nothing too obnoxious, it sinks in quickly, will defiantly purchase the full size.

Bits and bobs
E.L.F Brow gel - This is another holy-grail of mine, Its so inexpensive and it keeps my brows in place all day, perfect!

Sally Hansen strengthening polish remover - This was okay, again, it does the job! I didn't notice it help my nails to be honest but I don't usually notice that with many polish removers anyway.

Dove original deodorant - A boring but well loved entry, I have used this for years and it never fails me, it keeps my underarms moisturised (nice!) and I never sway from it!

My summer face + perfume

CLOCKWISE | Stella McCartney fragrance / MAC Blot powder / NARS Sheer glow - Barcelona / MAC Trace gold blush / Sleek brow kit - Light / Revon Lip butter - Creme brule / Bobbi brown corrector - Peach / Avon super shock mascara / Maybelline gel liner / Carmex

Hey dolls,
I feel like I have done some summer-related videos recently but not too many blog posts on what products I have been using, so I thought I would share what I have been wearing and reaching for this summer for my daily face!

I have been wearing NARS sheer glow pretty much all summer, along with the NARS tinted moisturiser on odd days which I also like. I have recently dug out my MAC blot powder to mattify my face as its a little more lightweight than other powders and I have used the Sleek brow kit for a very long time now, its a staple! Bobbi brown corrector is my holy-grail concealer/corrector, feel like it can do both jobs. I have also recently been using the Maybelline gel liner which is good but not as good as the MAC and Bobbi brown ones, thats what i've thought so far!
Avon supershock mascara I got free in a Marie-Claire magazine, bargain! Its pretty good for volumising but I wouldn't purchase it once this one has run out. I have been using MAC Trace gold as my blush/bronzer and a few different lip products this summer but the Revlon lip butter in Creme Brule is a nice light and easy to wear product.

Im not sure why I also photographed my Stella perfume but I wanted to mention that its one of my new favourite perfumes! All summer I have been wearing this and also the Summer rose version, heavenly!

I hope this has been of interest, I love seeing other posts about what people are wearing on their face as weird as that sounds!

What have you been wearing this summer/what has been your favourite perfume?

Lunch in Mayfair

Dungarees - Yayer / Shirt - American Apparel / Necklace - Topshop / Bag - Pop boutique / Hat - Beyond retro / Nails - China glaze High roller / Sandals - Topshop / Rings - Regal rose + Topshop

Hey dolls,
Today I had a very exciting lunch/meeting in Mayfair, an area which I usually pass-through as it is...lets say..not as cheap as chips haha but I got to have lunch at this amazing little french restaurant.
It was lovely and afterwards I headed on down to Carnaby street where I took a visit to Monki, one of my favourite shops up town. Its still crazy-busy in London, it feels like the Olympics hype hasn't quite settled down yet, Plus it felt scorching! A lovely day overall!
I threw this together today and thought it would document it, I might look back and shudder but...for now I like it!

Hey dolls,
I've been a bad blogger! I just haven't known what to post recently and I dont feel like i've done much over the past week. What I did do though is visit home and I brought some more of my old clothes over to the new place. I felt like I was wearing the same outfits over and over and needed some new (but old) clothes!

I dug out this skirt which I hadn't worn for a long time and also this white jumper which I love, but it does have an odd shape to it =/, I added these heels which I haven't been able to get much wear out of yet but I really wanted to style them up! This outfit would also be wearable with some simple sandals if you wanted to dress it down a little =]

Hope you are all well and enjoying the Olympics! I've been loving the athletics recently, we've been doing really well, wahoo!
