I tried my hand at putting together a punchy (ha) sangria the other day, it was my first try and turned out okay! I felt proud and took some photos! Perfect drink for summer afternoons.
LOL what a fail! I only realised my eyes were half-closed after we had left =[
I hope you are all well and have had a lovely weekend =]
This weekend I was moseying around Richmond (where I didn't realise an Olympic event was even happening, oops) and I stumbled across the cutest little farmers market on saturday, I then realised there was one held there on saturdays and one on sundays, Saturday is a food market and sunday an arts and vintage market. I love things like this, especially on sunny summer days so I thought I would take some snaps to share it with everyone!
We ended up having Moroccan food and buying brownies on the saturday and then on sunday I had a freshly squeezed strawberry, orange and banana juice. I also went back for more brownies (don't judge me), I have to tell you, these brownies are....AMAZING! Best ones I have tried in my life!
Its lovely to stumble across things like this, I'm excited to explore the area even more and see what else I find! Have any of you visited this market?
Today, as it has been very hot (for England) I decided to go to the park and try to get a bit of colour on my skin! I have really been wanting to get away somewhere but havent booked anything as of yet so...im desperate! haha, It was actually really lovely chilling out though and listening to some music in the sun. I grabbed some bits before I left, so I consider these my park-tanning essentials!
(The most essential thing is missing, sun tan lotion! Because I haven't bought any since moving, doh!)
The body shop Coconut hand cleanse gel / Boots botanics toner spritz / Bobbi brown Cabo coral pot rouge / Carmex / Institut Bronze repair tanning lotion / NARS Tinted moisturiser
H&M Headband / iPhone / iPad / Prada knockoff Sunnies / Oyster card
Let me know how you've been enjoying the sun!
Top - Monki / Skirt - River island / Necklace - Regal rose* / Flatforms - Soyoushoes / Bag - Dorothy Perkins / Watch - Michael Kors
I bought this skirt from River island a week or so ago, I haven't had a chance to wear it much yet because of the English weather but it just grabbed my attention, I love the rich colours and the patterns, It reminds me of exotic places and boho-style ^_^
Also, this necklace from Regal rose is such a lovely statement piece, Its similar to a plain Topshop one I have but it has this triangle detail that made it stand out to me.
Hope you have all had a lovely weekend!
Dress - H&M / Belt - Topshop / Sandals - Topshop / Bag - Forever21 / Jacket - Topman
Yesterday was a funny day, It started off quite sunny and warm, but as usual it then started showering. I got caught in a downpour on the way home from town haha, I must learn not to trust British weather!
I liked the simplicity of this outfit though, I really like stripes and denim together, You could always amp it up with jewellery or a pop of colour, Lets just hope we get some constant sunshine soon!
This is a review of the Boots Botanics Softening cleanser & rosewater toning spritz. Just to note. I have normal/combination skin, which tends to get oily on my T-zone during the day.
I am fond of both of these products and they are both quite inexpensive, the cleanser retails for £3.33 and the Toning spritz at £3.99 which I think is very reasonable and they make a lovely change to your routine if you are looking for something a little different.
The first thing which I noticed about this product was the smell, it is a light, refreshing, herbal and floral scent. If you are not a fan of scented cleansers you probably wouldn't like this, I like it however and the scent dosent linger for too long afterwards, it disappears by the time I get to my moisturising stage.
It is 82% organic, Im really getting more into organic and natural products and so I like knowing this product has a good amount of organic ingredients. Especially in summertime, the lightweight feel of this cream is great for this time of year.
It is a light creamy consistency, it dosent lather up too well though, I suppose because you arnt supposed to use it with water. It says to apply this all over the face and wipe away with a cotton pad, but I dont do this as I feel it would feel too gunky on the skin and the cotton pad wouldnt wipe it away properly...or feel refreshing. Instead I (try to) lather it up on my face over the sink and then wash it away with a splash of water, it feels so much more refreshing.
This is a good cleanser which a lovely smell, it gets my gets my makeup off, I cant say too much because i've only been using it for about 2 weeks but I like it so far, the only thing is I havent really seen a noticeable improvement, we'll see I guess!
Rosewater toning spritz
This product is one of my favourite finds of this spring & summer. After hearing SO much about the caudalie beauty elixar, I wasnt too interested in purchasing it myself and so I was browsing Boots one day and came across this which appears to be of a similar idea.
It says to spray into your face and then wipe away with a cotton pad. I totally ignored that rule for around a week or two after purchasing this and just used it to refresh my face (At the time of chronic hayfever symptons). It really helped relieve my eyes from the itchy sore hell they were in.
Now though I use it two ways, To refresh my face and also to tone as I ran out of my LUSH Tea tree water. I spray it onto a cotton pad and use like usual. Its a delight to use, tingly, fresh and lightly scented. It also does remove the last traces of makeup left on my face.
I would highly recommend it, this over the cleanser. Its such a nice summer product and it gives you a quick pick-me-up. I would imagine its also great to take on holiday with you, great for a quick spritz on the beach.
It is 100% percent organic which is always good! It also only has 5 ingredients which is better than tons and tons of things being piled into products we buy sometimes. I was a little gutted it contains Alcohol though as I try to steer clear of that usually.
If you have tried either of these products please let me know what you thought! Its interesting to know how things work for different people.
I hope this has helped or just been interesting!
So I mentioned in one of my last posts about moving and if you watched the video I posted the other day you probably know all about it so I wont rabbit on too much here but basically I have finally moved out of my family home after being in an awkward post-uni stage.
I have always, always wanted to move closer into west London...since I moved from where I grew up, halfway through high-school. I'm renting a flat in SW London, A beautiful town which Ricky (bf) actually introduced me to, its quaint, cute....and it has a SpaceNK! (Get in, haha)
That aside, Its great to have a place that I can finally add my own touch to and get fun and quirky bits and bobs to match my personality! I've only been here for a week so there are SO many more things I need to get, but these are a few touches i've added so far. I will most probably go more into detail about all of them in a haul I will put up soon on my channel. For now though, I hope you like the little sneek peek of my place! =]
Top - AA / Jeans - Topshop(sale) / Boots - Monki / Necklace - Topshop(sale) / Lips - NYX Lip cream in San paulo
I have gotten so bored of my usual outfits recently, all I seem to be wearing at the moment on my bottom half is leggings, which I LOVE but I feel are a little unimaginative, you know when you just need a change?
So I dug these jeans out of my drawer, they are from last year and I got them on sale from Topshop, I cant say they are very comfortable and I have a love/hate relationship with jeans anyway because I find them so uncomfortable but they are appropriate for this odd weather we have been having. Since it is (apparently) summer, a bit of floral is nice to chuck on. I threw on this 3D mesh top from AA too and realised its two different types of floral, why not I say, haha.
Life has been crazy recently! I do apologise for not getting up many posts recently, I've had so much going on and have moved...finally! I had been wanting to for SO long. I think I will go into a little more detail about the move and home things in a different post but for now I thought I would share some recent bits I picked up =]
The first photo shows some bits I picked up from Boots, I'd heard so much about the Bourjois nail varnish remover and so far im loving it! I take the little soft kabuki around with me in my makeup bag everywhere I go and the highlighter is a great drugstore product, similar to MACs strobe cream but more peachy.
I went a little mad in The body shop recently, they have a massive sale on, I couldn't resist! The hand sanitiser smells like strong Malibu though, I love the drink but not sure about it on my hands yet. The best product in the photo is the body butter, heaven!
A little while ago I had a mosey around the Topshop sale, no clothes struck me, but I had wanted these rings for ages and since they were on sale...sod it! The crop top is from H&M, I thought it was perfect for summer =]
Have you found any exciting things in the sales? Or do you know of any amazing sales happening at the moment! Let me know!
