Clarisonic Mia 2 | First Impressions

Daniel Sandler demonstrating the Clarisonic Mia2

Hey dolls,
The other week I popped along to a Clarisonic event where we had a talk about the new Clarisonic Mia 2 and also had a mini demonstration on how it is used and how it is different to its predecessor.
If you are not familiar with the Clarisonic it is basically a handheld cleansing brush which sonically massages your skin, it is supposed to improve your skins circulation, even out skin tone, clear away traces of makeup/impurities, clear scars and marks on the face and minimise breakouts (Plus even more).
The first Clarisonic models were the original model, which you can attach a body brush to also and then the Mia - Now there is the Mia 2. The new model features two speeds, It pulses to let you know when to move on to the next area of your face (which is one minute in total) and it comes with a handy travel case.

Have I noticed a difference?
I have been using the Clarisonic now for around two weeks, For just over a week I used it day and night and now I just use it at night as I feel it cleanses off last traces of makeup amazingly. I have noticed that my skin has a much more even complexion and also appears brighter and more glowy, some dark patches which were previously apparent on my skin have been reduced, however I have broken out from using it (Which is extremely normal at first, its sometimes called 'skin purging' as it draws out the impurities from deep within the skin) So i'm waiting for that to clear up at the moment and then i'll see how it performs over a longer amount of time.

Would I recommend it/is it worth the price?
The price is what held me back from purchasing a Clarisonic for SO long. I had always been interested but unsure wether it was worth it. I defiantly think it is worth the money and it is an effective and very handy piece of equiptment. I am always excited to use it at the end of the day, I find it a fun step in my otherwise mundane nightly makeup removal routine.

I know I babbled quite a bit, I could type forever sometimes haha but i'll leave it there for now,

What are your thoughts on the Clarisonic?

Sammi x

I've got the first mia and really enjoy using it. By the sounds of things the mia 2 is better but I dont think I'll be buying it purely because the first mia does the job its just a shame it doesnt have the two speeds and the beeps. X

I would absolutely love to try this but it's way too much money for me to realistically spend :( sticking to cleanse and polish and an old muslin cloth lol! :( XO

Please check my blog out if you get a chance, I've just started out and any feedback would mean the world to me! <3

I have Olay's version of the Clarisonic and I am SO glad I picked it up; it's only $30 and is basically the exact same product. My skin has never been happier :)

I love how it leaves my skin well exfoliated, unfortunately it hasn't done much for me in terms of clearing/ minimizing my acne and scarring. I still love to use it though, it removes makeup like no other! xx

Great post! I wished that I had enough money for a Clarisonic because I've been breaking out like a mad woman. Maybe one day I can afford it... x

I've had the original Clarisonic Mia for almost a year now and use it every night. I would never go back to not using it as my skin is terrible without it! If I've been away and not taken it with me I get a build of skin cells around my nose and my skin generally looks and feels awful! In my opinion it's definately worth the heft price tag. (plus, I got it from buyapowa, so a bit of a bargain!

I love my Mia but I don't use it every day as I think it can be a bit too harsh, I wish it had the beep to let me know when to move onto each area of my face as I always loose count! xx

Brought it a couple of days ago but still haven't got it out the box because I'm worried about breaking out:/

Why must it be so expensive!?!
I really want to save for it but the only thing is, i'm worried it will make me prone to wrinkling early... :s

I LOVE my clarisonic Mia, mine doesn't beep etc as I feel I can count and judge when to move on so saved money on that purchase.
The product itself is awesome, skin is so soft and glowy. I haven't had the break outs that EVERYONE talks about so I wasn't sure if I was using it right but in saying that I have seen a massive improvement in my skin. I've been using it for two weeks and do t regret the purchase one bit :)
Has anyone else used it without getting the dreaded break outs?

I have the original clarisonic mia (I've written a blogpost here: http://thelittlekoala.blogspot.co.uk) but that didn't come with the case that the new one comes with and it would be so useful to have for travelling :( Do you know if you can get one on it's own?

I've been seeing the Clarisonic products being talked about on beauty blogs for a while, but wasn't too interested/the price put me off. But it seems like a worthwhile investment! Probably going to purchase one in the near future
