My Forever 21 experience (Oxford street)

Slippers around £6.00

Tie dye dress - £18.00 'Romper' £10.00

Jewellery was all around £3.00

Hey dolls,
So last sunday I visited Forever 21 on Oxford street, its just opened recently so I was excited to go! I've been before in the US where I thought it was...ok..but I wanted to see what the UK one would be like.
I was disappointed. lol It was full of floral prints, cheap looking tribal prints and big text prints on tops etc, The store is decorated beautifully, very modern, with chandeliers and lovely stands, But I liked the interior design better than the clothing!
What I did like was the jewellery, theres a large selection so I found a few bits, I had to control myself! I also liked the accessories, I had my eye on one of the laptop cases but £15 for a laptop case? hmm
Its known to be quite cheap but actually looking back...its not extremely cheap, I think Primark is the winner for very good prices and trendy clothing.

Alot of people have said its very hit and miss so I will give it another chance =] I reckon the autumn/winter collections might be better! I just cant wear frilly floral!

So here is what I bought, You may have seen it already on my new video! But if not I thought some of you might be interested =]

Have you been to the store on Oxford street? What did you think?!

Sammi xoxo

I love forever21, lol, its very affordable :) and the girly stuff I like a lot right now. It is hit and miss, I'll agree. I watched the video earlier, I love how inexpensive their jewelry is, and how much there is to choose from.

Its very similar looking to the Birmingham store. I think they decorate the store so nicely. I didn't find many clothes that I could purchase though.

I love the jewellery you've chosen! That's a shame you said it's all full of florals and stuff as I'm not really into that, I think I'll check it out in the autumn!xx

I absolutely love the jewelry you've picked out. I must go! I remember thinking it was a bit hit and miss when I went to one in America a few years ago. If the jewelry's that nice and cheap though I've definitely got to go just for that!

You should check back in the fall when the get ride of the summer floral tribal trend. annnnd I really like the earrings you picked out. I wonder if they have those studs in the US. I might pick them up myself.

I find a lot of cute things at Forever 21. I like the dresses and even some silk tops which is surprising. Perhaps if you go a few more times, you might see more things that are more your style. Don't give up yet :)

I love the jewelry you bought. I am looking for edgy earrings like that but can't seem to find some I like. I also loved those shorts you bought at Urban Outfitters that were in your video. They look great on you!

I go to Forever 21 a lot hoping that maybe this time the clothes will be different haha. NEVER. So I always just end up getting jewelry, but there's a lot of good jewelry there. I have those studs :]. Wish I could find that tye dye tunic, though.

I actually lovedddd it in there! As with all shops I think you have to be picky, and I agree that lots of stuff looked a bit cheap and not to my taste at all, but I found a few really nice items for such reasonable prices, and I can't wait to go back and get some more! But I agree that the jewellery and the interior are both amazing, especially the jewellery ;)

Cute jewelry, but I know what you mean about the clothes (cheaply made). Forever 21 actually proliferates the use of sweatshops in the manufacturing of its clothing. Check out the documentary "Made in L.A." if you'd like to learn more. It definitely opened my eyes.

was your story messy? Forever 21 turns me off because every time I go in the store it's a mess and it makes me not want to shop there so I end up shopping online. I only go there if I need something quick and I know they may have it.

The forever 21 in America is cheaper, cos I go every time I go to the US. :)

Forever 21 has a lot of good prices on their jewelry, sometimes you just can't beat it. Although, a lot of times you get stuff from there and it breaks super easily. The kind where clasps come undone, or a rhinestone falls off....irritating to say the least, but cutesy stuff at a cheap price, so heck, buy in bulk. Here's another place to try if you're ever in America (Northwest) again: Fuego (www.shopfuego.com) (They have adorable t-shirts with snarky slogans, they actually did STD stuffed figures for STD awareness, and their jewelry ranges from costumey to grungy, to punk, to something you could actually wear for a classy night out. Plus, they often have two or three racks for Seller's Sale, which are earrings or hair accessories which sell for less than $3 for everyone to try out from the designer. I get LOADS of stuff from those racks. I believe you can order things online as well, so might be worth a checkout to see if you like anything. Happy hunting and greetings from America!

I've been Forever 21-ing it up since I was 18 (2002), and while their clothes were great for me back then (because I worked there and got a discount AND because it was affordable), I need more quality now. I still buy basic tops and jewelry from them, but that's about it.

I was really excited about Forever 21 opening on Oxford St !! And I went as soon as I could =) I like some of their clothes but as I'm not good at putting an outfit together I only bought one or two things.
But I did love the accessories and jewelry shelves !!!

I've heard they opened a Forever 21 in the new Westfield Center in Stratford, it's probably gonna sell the same stuffs but I've been told that it's even bigger, so I might wanna check it out =) (plus there's a MAC store opening there next month !)
